INSTRUCTORS
Here, at the BC Fiddle 'Treat we are proud of the quality of instruction provided. And, of course, the quality of instruction is due, in large part, to the quality of instructor.

If you're familiar with our History, you're familiar with some of the awesome musicians & teachers who have shared their talents and knowledge with our students in the past. This year’s instructors to date are:


FIDDLE:


ALEX RANDALL has competed at the Grand Masters. He is an active member in Branch 4 and 5 promoting Old Time Fiddling.

RIEL AUBICHON is a well known Metis Fiddler, who currently resides in Alberta. He has many compositions to his name. Riel has been at previous fiddle camps and we are honored to have him with us again.

KELLI TROTTIER, a fiddler, stepdancer and vocalist, this young musician from Ontario possesses a wealth of talent and experience including tours with the Bobby Lalonde band and the Canadian Military. She was the female lead in the musical Swingstep at Toronto’s Ford Theatre.

KEITH WILSON After a year off, we’re happy to have Keith back. He has played, taught, and judged among the best throughout Canada.

CALVIN VOLLRATH of Edmonton, has won more honors in the fiddling world than space permits. He is an outstanding composer, performer, and promoter of old time fiddling.

RANDY FOSTER is from Renfrew Ontario is a veteran of many fiddle camps both as a student and as an instructor.

REBECCA SMITH, CHELSEA SLEEP, AND TRENT FREEMAN are all natives of BC are back again this year to add their youthful energy and talent to our camp.

GARY HILL and LEO READY are from BC’s interior are instructors who have years of experience in the fiddle entertainment world as competitors, judges, and organizers.

PIANO

The teaching team of ALICE WILSON and CHARLOTTE LAPP will once again share their knowledge, dedication and enthusiasm with their students of all levels.

GUITAR:

DOUG BORDEN from Prince George and CRAIG MCGREGOR from Vancouver are back this year. Both have years of teaching experience as well as a vast store of skills to share.

MANDOLIN:

JIM BORDEN from Prince George is well known as a musician and instrument maker. His understanding of teaching techniques make him a valuable member of the team. We welcome him back for the second year.

Well ... there you have it - this year's very impressive line-up! Regardless whether your instrument of choice is fiddle, piano, guitar or mandolin ... we have the Instructors for you!

Note: It is advisable for beginner guitar students to know at least three basic chords (A, D and E). Instructors may be subject to change
