A Museum in a Curling Rink

In 1975, the Osoyoos Museum moved to the Curling Rink, providing it with a huge space, although the rink area was not equipped with heating nor air-conditioning.
The rink was built in 1953-54 and is of a building type known as a Quonset structure. These two photos in the Museum collection by Roy Butler show its construction.
An issue of the Osoyoos Times described the Curling Rink, its Club, and the people who built it.
